Vision and Mission Statements
Vision: Our ultimate goal is to find a cure for PKU
Nutrition
Formula and food coverage are the first priorities of the Iowa PKU Foundation. Through legislative action with our collaborative efforts, we will fight for PKU families to secure the necessary funding for their formula and low-protein food.
Education
Understanding the dietary nuances for PKU families is imperative for a balanced life. We offer a brochure, web-site, and a newsletter to support the Iowa PKU community.
Family Support
It is also critical that PKU families share their experiences with each other. Therefore, it is our goal to offer networking opportunities including annual summer and winter get-togethers, as well as e-mail links in order to facilitate sharing and caring.
Funding for PKU Research
The Iowa PKU Foundation is committed to the support of appropriate research initiatives to better understand PKU and eventually find a cure. A portion of our fundraising efforts supports PKU research.

The Iowa PKU Foundation is a not-for-profit organization qualified for tax-deductible contributions under the Internal Revenue Code.
